Seadoo
Mood:  chatty

HI Everyone,

We have booked the seadoo for the house boat trip.  They have assured me that we do not need to get our boating license.  They will issue us temporary licenses for the duration of the rental.  If you already have your license, then that will work as well.  Everyone that intends to drive the seadoo must come with me at the time of rental so that you can get your license.  You must be over 18 years to get a temporary license and all the seadoos are 2007 models that seat 3 people.  From Dave

Hi Everyone,

I have picked up a copy of the Canadian Boat Operator's Handbook that y'all are welcome to when I have finished.  I was told the test, if you take it at a registry location, take about an hour and I was told it was difficult.

boating license
Mood:  lazy

Hello Everyone.  Ashley had a great B-day, unfortunately, I was sick that night but that's OK because I got a truck!

I have looked into boating licenses and as I have discussed with all of you (i think), anyone that wishes to drive the seadoo must have a boating license.  You must be 16 years of age and possess a license.

The test for the license is around $40.00 a pop and this will be paid before each attempt.  There is a book to study from, it costs about $15.  I figure we only need one book and we can all make use of it.

None of the rental shops in sicomus or salmon arm, that I phoned, Knew weather a license was needed or not.  I think that renting it wouldn't be the problem but if "the authorities" were to check then we would be required to show our card. - Or just hand them a doughnut as a bribe - either may work. lol

Jacques - I have emailed you some video of our dainty little ballerina, let me know if you were able to open it or not.  I tried to attach them to the blog but apparently the file size is too big.
